Julio César Andújar, who is popularly known as The Cu6an or Macario Galán, is a well-known artist, music producer, and performer of Cuban and Galician heritage. He started his career in the entertainment industry as a classically trained stage actor but later transitioned into music production in Hollywood. He joined legendary Spanish/Cuban rap pioneers Mellow Man Ace and Sen Dogg of Cypress Hill and worked with major labels such as BMG, UMG, and Flip/Interscope. He produced sessions at prestigious Los Angeles studios like Conway Studios, the Record Plant, and the Village.

In the late 1990s, The Cu6an was one of the early American pioneers of a fresh musical style emerging from UK Rave Acid House culture initially called Jungle, which later evolved into what is now known as Drum and Bass. He was inspired by and collaborated with UK notables like Dom & Roland, Nico, Fierce, and the Usual Suspects, crafting a distinctive, Latin-inspired,, Tech-Step sound and live performance.. This catapulted him to prominence as a headliner at early American raves, festivals, and underground parties from 1997 to 2016.

Besides Drum and Bass, The Cu6an also explored and released traditional and Progressive House, Techno, Downtempo, and soundscapes designed for wellness practices. He has performed and released music under various aliases such as the Cuban, Macario Galán, DJ Lakshmi, Forces of Light and Call Upon Power(band).
