Julio César Andújar — known across electronic music as the Cu6an, and as DJ Lakshmi, Macario Galán, and El PeliKano — is a San Diego-based producer, composer, and performer whose career spans three decades of American underground culture, major-label studio work, and the emerging frontier of immersive audio-visual experience.
His production pedigree runs deep. A former Hollywood music producer with sessions at Conway, the Record Plant, and the Village, Andújar contributed to projects for BMG, UMG, and Flip/Interscope alongside Latin music luminaries Mellow Man Ace and Sen Dogg of Cypress Hill. Library music and brand work has been placed with Killer Tracks, Vivendi, Boeing, ESPN, MTV, Univision, and Hot Wheels, with original score and sound design for A&E, Viacom, and BMG across television and brand campaigns.
In the late 1990s, the Cu6an emerged as a pioneering voice in American electronic music — developing a distinctly Latin-inflected take on the UK Rave continuum, from Jungle and Drum and Bass through Techno and Progressive House, at a time when live performance in the rave circuit was rare and bold. Collaborations with UK artists Dom & Roland, Nico, and Fierce, alongside a 20-year run as a headliner with the We Are One collective, established him as a singular figure at the intersection of Latin heritage and underground electronic culture.
He has performed and released music at major festivals and underground events from 1997 to the present — with festival production credits including Bhaktifest — and has attended the International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza, where Forces of Light is positioned at the confluence of electronic music, wellness, and experiential technology.
Today, as founder of Forces of Light — now entering its 25th year — Andújar works across the full creative spectrum: original music production under multiple aliases, 3D/AR/VR immersive experience design, and Forces of Light Radio 105.7, a progressive house music podcast available on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, and Amazon. His current work integrates production expertise with immersive visual programming to create multisensory experiences drawing equally from neuroscience, classical yogic philosophy, and the dancefloor. He holds an E-RYT 500 certification and has been a student of Ram Dass.
